Role overview
Joining New Horizon Youth Centre as a Corporate Partnerships Manager offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a highly motivated team. With deep-rooted relationships with funders, the organisation raised an impressive £4 million last year, and trusts and foundations represented 43% of our income. As we aim for an ambitious £4.7 million goal this year, we are seeking a passionate, dedicated individual to help us continue building on our success and securing vital support for our mission.

- Contract type and hours: Permanent. The role is full-time, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Some work over the Christmas period will also be required.
- Salary: The starting salary for the role is £37,024 (pro rata). The salary scale is: £37,024 (AP32) to (AP36) £41,600).
- Location: The post is based at: New Horizon Youth Centre, 68 Chalton Street, London, NW1 1JR.

Key objectives of the role
The Corporate Partnerships Manager will play a vital role in supporting New Horizon Youth Centre’s mission by managing and growing a portfolio of valued corporate partners (>£20k) and supporters (<£20k), nurturing these relationships to ensure meaningful, long-term support for young people facing homelessness. This includes organising volunteering days that inspire action, delivering lunch-and-learn sessions to deepen understanding of our cause, and finding creative ways for partners to make a real difference.
The role will also drive new business by proactively building relationships with companies that share our values and want to help young people fulfil their potential. Additionally, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will lead New Horizon’s events programme, developing and delivering inspiring events that connect corporate partners, high-net-worth individuals, and other key supporters to the heart of our mission.

Main tasks and responsibilities
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Partnerships
1. Developing our corporate partnerships pipeline of opportunities spanning Charity of the Year and strategic partnerships
2. Providing high quality and personalised account management for existing corporate partners and supporters i.e. bespoke reporting, regular visits to our day centre
3. Organising volunteering sessions for partners giving £20k+ in collaboration with frontline teams
4. Coordinating the delivery of in-kind donations and pro-bono support offered by corporate partners in collaboration with frontline teams
New Business
5. Leading on the development of corporate new business propositions, proposals and pitches
6. Securing partnerships in a range of sectors at a 5 and 6 figure level
7. Regularly attending and presenting at networking events to increase awareness of New Horizon Youth Centre amongst businesses in London
Events
8. Leading on the planning and delivery of our annual calendar of events, including challenge events such as Hackney Half
9. Managing the events budget efficiently by optimising resources, minimising costs, ensuring accurate tracking, and achieving financial targets while maintaining quality.
10. Effectively line managing the Events Assistant role, providing regular coaching and mentoring, focusing on skill development, event management, and understanding the fundraising landscape
PERSON SPECIFICATION
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following competencies and want to use these to the full in their work.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND TRACK RECORD
1.1. Experience in securing significant corporate partnerships
1.2. Experience in pitching, presenting, and delivering high-quality written proposals
1.3. Experience and aptitude in representing the charity at external events and speaking occasions
1.4. Experience of supporting individuals to engage in fundraising activities and to reach their fundraising target
1.5. Experience of motivating and supporting colleagues to get the best results
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
1.1. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships effectively and collaborate with people at all levels
1.2. Confidence in managing partner expectations and having difficult conversations where necessary, keeping the charity’s best interests at heart
1.3. Ability to lead and motivate fundraising volunteers and engage staff in fundraising and stewardship
1.4. Knowledge of fundraising practices and procedures
1.5. Demonstrable understanding and interest in various funding streams such as community, corporate, events and individuals
